Wow. The Daily Record loves Scott Shine. But what about the candidate, Jay McGovern, the one who is actually challenging Ander Crenshaw for his Congressional seat and the one who is the most qualified, deserving and respected candidate for this seat?
I'm shooting from the hip on this one, so bare with me, but I'm at a loss (and downright confounded) as to why Shine, McGovern's campaign manager and former city council candidate, can get a spotlight article while the candidate can't even register a blip in the local media and is mentioned in the article as more of an afterthought.
I especially love the part in the article where "Shine said he’s been able to balance his political philosophies with the realities of running a campaign."
I'm sure Jay is thrilled to accomodate Shine's search for political zen, enlightenment and, of course, the perfect wave.

My favorite aspects of the article are its factual inaccuracies. For example, Jim Minion ran against Michael Corrigan, not Dan Davis.
I thought the article was factual (except for davis) and Scotts leadership is important to the camapign as well in the development of the Candidate. Your point is important, however the focus of the article was ERSG. This is an important issue in our city.
Finally, you would have to ask Jay, but I myself have found Scott's leadership in this campaign to be important to turning Duval Blue.
The best part of being with this team is the seasoned experience of local activists and organizers. Jay McGovern's campaign team is chock full of talent. Great leadership attracts great leaders. I am sure that is why Jay asked Scott to run the campaign.
Wave a sign, come make some phone calls, but please don't take a cheap shot at an active Democrat working to do his job, GET JAY MCGOVERN ELECTED.
